If you’re still bummed about the “Game of Thrones” season lag and impending end, we’ve got something to cheer you up.

A “GOT”-inspired burlesque show will make a stop in Cambridge on Aug. 21 at the Oberon. The production named “Burlesque is Coming,” is based on George R. R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” and known for snagging the author’s stamp of approval last fall when he wrote on his blog, “They already had me at ‘Burlesque,’ but they won my tiny black heart with ‘nerd-lesque.’” The group will even perform at Martin’s hometown Santa Fe, NM theater, Jean Cocteau Cinema, per his invitation, for the second time in September.

The three-year-old touring production was assembled by Virginia-based Blacklist Burlesque producer Moxie LaBouche who used both the book and HBO series to derive storylines and characters via “strip tease, sideshow acts, and comedy.” No word on if Jon Snow will show up to this party either.
