Lenyon Whitaker is the Multimedia Editor at Metro.us. He is responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and reviewing photo and video content for the Metro.us site. Before April 2013, he worked as a freelance photographer covering assignments in both Philadelphia and New York. In 2011 he worked as the web photo editor at Essence magazine. Lenyon has a strong passion for street photography and photojournalism.
A native New Yorker, he enjoys just about everything the big city has to offer, but a small part of his heart belongs to Philadelphia, the place where he started his professional career and made great connections. He now resides in Harlem.
When he’s not working on photo and video content for the web, he enjoys exploring the city with a camera, watching and playing baseball, and discovering new art and music. He also enjoys a good burger.
Lenyon is a graduate of Temple University (GO OWLS!) and majored in Broadcasting Telecommunications and Mass Media.
