The 32nd year of Broadway in Boston just released its 2016-2017 season — and we couldn’t be more excited.

There are the classics — “The King and I” (April 11 to 23) and “Cabaret” (Jan. 31 to Feb. 12) — the beloved crowd-pleasers — “Jersey Boys” (Oct. 4 to 16) and “Wicked” (June 7 to July 23) — and a few ever-exciting wild cards — “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” (March 7 to 19), “Something Rotten!” (Jan. 17 to 29) and “Finding Neverland” (Aug. 8 to 20).

Broadway in Boston, which will bring us “Matilda,” “The Sound of Music” and “If/Then” in the coming months, will continue to call the stage of the Boston Opera House home. The organization’s Boston Vice President Tivon Marcus calls the upcoming season “magical,” noting “here is not a more exciting time than now to experience Broadway.”
