Boston Police: Help us identify a man wanted for indecent assault in Eastie

Boston Police needed help from the East Boston community and the city at large after the indecent assault of a woman occurred 8:30 a.m. Monday morning.

According to the victim, the suspect approached from behind, indecently assaulted her and fled the scene on foot in the area of the East Boston Greenway and Sumner Street.

The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, thin, clean cut, short dark hair and believed to be wearing a plain gray t-shirt with black running pants.

A few tips for ensuring your personal safety? Boston Police say to be aware and observant of your surroundings. Walk with confidence, be assertive and trust your ability to distract, scare or harm an attacker enough to escape.
