A suspect is in custody after two people were injured in Cambridge in a Wednesday morning hit-and-run and pistol-whipping.
Authorities initially responded to a Pearl Street hit-and-run around 8:12 a.m., Cambridge police stated. A victim had been dragged by a Dodge Charger following an altercation with the driver in Central Square.
Police said that a second person, found with the dragging victim, had been pistol-whipped. Authorities recovered a firearm that witnesses said was discarded from the suspect's vehicle.
The two victims, both with nonlife-threatening injuries, were taken to an area hospital, CBS Boston added. Part of Pearl Street was also taped off.
