Cambridge schools threatened, extra security put in place

Law enforcement officials are on alert, and extra security precautions have been put in place after an anonymous threat was made against Cambridge middle schools.

“The threat was directed at the Amigos School, Putnam Avenue Upper School and Vassal Lane Upper School, the city said in an alert,” WCVB Boston reports. “The buildings also contain Tobin Montessori and Kennedy-Longfellow School.”

All schools will remain open despite the threat.
