For the next 90 days, a firm will be doing research and evaluating the possibility of selling the naming rights to various T stations and stops, according to an MBTA official.
IMG Worldwide is about to begin "a thorough analysis to determine if there's a market for naming rights and what the value would be" to the T, said spokesman Joe Pesaturo.
The T put out a Request For Proposal for a consultant to handle and study the potential revenue source in July.
