Boston police are looking for a woman they say shoved a 2-year-old girl to the ground at the Public Garden in Boston Common.
The parents of the young child said the incident happened in April, but now want the woman to be held responsible for her actions, police said.
According to the child’s parents, the girl was playing by the Make-Way-for-Ducklings Statue inside the Public Garden when a woman approached her, swore at her, and then pushed her to the ground causing a scraped ankle. The woman then fled the area on foot. Police on Wednesday released photographs of the woman suspected in the incident. In the images, she appears to be taking photographs of the duckling statues. The woman is seen wearing a blue bandana and jogging shorts. Investigators are asking anyone with information to call them at 617-343-4248.
