A fire broke out at a Quincy marina early Thursday morning, setting several docked boats ablaze.
The fire began on a dock at about 7:45 a.m. and the Quincy Police called the flames “devastating” to the the vessels and the portion of the dock at Captain’s Cove Marina were engulfed in large plumes of black smoke and roaring flames.
Quincy Police say four or five boats sunk and about 10 were severly damaged.
There were no injuries reported. The cost of the damages has yet to be determined.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
