Dorchester gun violence victim identified

Police have identified a man who was shot to death on Southern Avenue in Dorchester on Wednesday.

The victim of an apparent shooting in the area of 120 Southern Ave. was 27-year-old Eric Durham of Fall River, according to a report from police Monday.

Police found Durham suffering from gunshot wounds after responding to a call around 8:22 p.m. Wednesday, the report said. He later died, police said.

Police are now searching for Durham’s killer. The department has asked anyone with information about the killing to contact homicide detectives at 617-343-4470.
