Driver charged with teen’s death in Dorchester hit-and-run

Driver charged with teen’s death in Dorchester hit-and-run

Boston Police charged Gregory McCoy, 27, of Dorchester, was charged with killing a teenage boy in a hit-and-run in Dorchester at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

McCoy is charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury, one count of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident causing death. Court records indicate McCoy is homeless with a long criminal record.

The incident occurred near Talbot and New England Avenues when two vehicles collided. The teen was killed as a result.

McCoy took off and was later caught and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
