Conan O’Brien officiates a same-sex marriage on TV

Was your wedding broadcast on TBS? Didn't think so.

Have a wedding coming up and need a celebrant? Well Conan O’Brien is your man. The popular talk show host apparently now does same-sex marriages on TV. Conan’s long time costume designer Scott Cronick and his partner David Gorshein tied the knot last night live on the show, in a short but extremely sweet ceremony. Last night’s show was Conan’s one-year anniversary and what better way to celebrate then to officiate a marriage, is what we always say?

To make the night even sweeter, Bravo TV host Andy Cohen (who happens to be Scott’s favorite celebrity) also joined the wedding party to walk Scott down the aisle in one of his own designs. It was a beautiful traditional Jewish chuppah, with friends and family all around. Say it with us: awww!

Initially, we do admit to wondering why would anyone have their special day on live TV — and with a talk show host no less as the celebrant — but all jokes aside, the ceremony was actually a quite touching.  Who knew there was a serious (and seriously romantic) side to Conan we have never seen? Congratulations all round, boys!
