1 ‘Insidious: Chapter 2’
It’s only been three months since director James Wan and Patrick Wilson scared the bejeezus out of people with “The Conjuring,” so here’s another. Enjoy it, as Wan is now stuck in the “Fast & Furious” franchise.

2 ‘The Family’
Eurotrash auteur Luc Besson (“The Fifth Element,” “Taken”) sucks Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer and Tommy Lee Jones (plus executive producer Martin Scorsese) into his insane orbit for this comic actioner about an ex-mafia boss (De Niro) under witness relocation who’s found by the mob.

3 ‘Mother of George’
This unspeakably gorgeous drama takes viewers into the world of Nigerian immigrants in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, where a woman (“The Walking Dead”’s Danai Gurria) has trouble getting pregnant by her new husband (Isaach de Bankole).

4 ‘Wadjda’
The first film ever made entirely in Saudi Arabia (and by a woman, no less), Haifaa al-Mansour’s feature debut considers an 11-year-old trying to defy tradition by getting herself a fancy bike.

5 ‘Jayne Mansfield’s Car’
The first movie Billy Bob Thornton has directed since 2001’s “Daddy and Them” is this well-regarded ensemble drama about a family gathering in the 1960s, including Robert Duvall, Kevin Bacon, John Hurt and Thornton himself.

6 ‘Blue Caprice’
Isaiah Washington gives a brilliant performance as John Allen Muhammed, the ringleader in the 2002 Beltway sniper attacks, who coaxes a young orphan (Tequan Richmond) into embarking on a reign of terror.

7 ‘GMO OMG’
Potentially (but potentially not!) cancerous Genetically Modified Organisms come under the radar of this activist/doomsday doc, which posits there’s another everyday item we should be worried about.

8 ‘Herb & Dorothy 50 x 50’
The 2008 documentary — about the Vogels, an everyday couple who amassed an unprecedented collection of modern art in their tiny New York apartment — gets a follow-up. Herb, unfortunately, passed away last year.

9 ‘Riddick’
Did you know Vin Diesel’s “Pitch Black” character’s full name is Richard B. Riddick? Anyway, he’s back, even though no one saw “Chronicles of Riddick.” Maybe it’s because Diesel’s big again — or back in the “Fast & Furious” films he once abandoned.

10 ‘Salinger’
Noted recluse J.D. Salinger finally gets a splashy, albeit not entirely fawning, life-spanning documentary that promises some well-kept shock revelations. (Spoiler: There are more Salinger manuscripts en route now that he’s no longer alive to thwart their publication.)
