VIDEO: Internet blows up with Starbucks Drake Hands

It all started with sweet enough intentions: Brody Ryan, a musician and Starbucks barista, sent a young model, Piper Kennedy, a selfie video of himself coyly smiling at the camera and then touching his face, all with Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Coming Home” playing in the background. Maybe it was meant to be cute, but it came off as creepy and hilarious and after Kennedy’s friend posted it on Instagram, the video took on a life of its own.

Now, the Instagram account starbucksdrakehands is getting flooded with fans trying to nail the pose Brody Ryan has down: Starbucks Drake Hands.

Ryan has inspired a revolution in video selfie posing.

Here’s the slow-mo version:

The rising sun version:

The very uncomfortable AARP version:

The gold-digging version:

Don’t worry though, Ryan isn’t too hurt. He posted a link to StarbucksDrakeHands on his Twitter page and according to the bio on his website, he “no longer doubts his true form of self-expression.” We’ll take Starbucks Drake Hands over twerking any day.
