According to Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, if he could cast any actor to play him in a movie, he would cast Brad Pitt.

The New York Daily News reported that Gingrich knows Pitt looks nothing like him. (He just likes the idea of being played by one of the world's handsomest men. Hey, who wouldn't?)

Gingrich's comments got us thinking of what actors could play other candidates in the 2012 election.

Barack Obama could be played by the "Unstoppable" Denzel Washington.

Mitt Romney might be able to be played by the Heavenly Stephen Collins (if the latter invested in a tiny bit of hair dye).

Something tells us Stephen Colbert might have an interesting take on the role of Rick Santorum.

Finally, Ron Paul would have be played by Steve Martin. Not because he's a joke. We swear.

What do you think of our choices?
