TV Watch List: Tuesday, January 21

Metro’s Tuesday night TV breakdown.

‘Teen Mom 2’
REALITY. We’re still not sure if this show glorifies and glamorizes teen pregnancy or acts as a deterrent (sadly, we’re leaning toward the former). It doesn’t seem to have taught any helpful lessons to the girls of “Teen Mom” — Leah, Kailyn, Chelsea, and Jenelle, respectively — who we revisit in this new season. Since we last saw them, they’ve popped out more babies, gotten into more bad relationships and, in the case of Jenelle, continued the downward spiral that’s been legitimately difficult to watch.
Season Premiere, 10 p.m., MTV

‘Hollywood Hillbillies’
REALITY. This appears to be a new reality show that is essentially “The Beverly Hillbillies” as played by an actual family of freewheelin’ bumpkins from Georgia who gained notoriety for posting their backwoods shenanigans on YouTube and then moved to L.A. It’s the Clampetts with WiFi, we guess.
Series Premiere, 9 pm, REELZ

‘Opposite Worlds’
COMPETITION. This is a new reality competition in which the contestants are divided up into two teams — one based in the primitive past and the other in a far-off future. Their worlds are divided by a glass partition through which they can observe the others’ activities, terrarium-like. It sounds really weird.
Series Premiere, 10 p.m., SYFY
