Thursday night, Jay Leno hosts “The Tonight Show” for the final time.

For more than 20 years, Leno has kept the ratings up for NBC’s late-night television show by providing a broad stream of comedy and a safe haven for celebrity guests. Tonight, Leno passes the torch to Jimmy Fallon with faith that he’ll carry on the show’s legacy. After hosting more than 4,600 shows, Leno has had some memorable guests appear on the show and even more memorable moments.
