The Word: Is Beyonce pregnant again?

Beyonce is expecting Baby #2 with husband Jay-Z, multiple sources claim. According to the New York Post, the high-waisted Givenchy gown Bey wore to last week’s Met gala was carefully constructed to conceal Blue Ivy’s little brother or sister.

The singer is in the middle of a world tour, and if she is pregnant, her spangly leotards won’t hide little Turquoise Clover or Chartreuse Ficus for long. In fact, some audience members from her concerts are already claiming they’ve spotted a baby bump. Maybe Bey’s just too bellylicious for them.

If Beyonce and Jay-Z really are expecting, it’s no surprise they’d want to keep it to themselves a little longer, given the elaborate fanfare that heralded their daughter’s arrival. Blue Ivy Carter was delivered on a private floor of New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital that the superstar couple reportedly paid $1.3 million to rent out. And while mom and baby recuperated, security remained high: Hospital workers reportedly put tape over surveillance cameras, and employees’ mobile phones were confiscated when they arrived for shifts, sources told the New York Daily News.

A pregnancy might also explain why there’s still no release date for Beyonce’s long-awaited album. It’s hard enough to give birth without trying to film a music video at the same time — although if anyone could do it, it would be Beyonce.
