“Game of Thrones” and “Breaking Bad” tied for Best Drama last night at the Critics’ Choice Awards. The show was full of surprises, including multiple ties, as awards went to a mix of expected critical darlings as well as some gems generally overlooked by better-known awards shows.

“Breaking Bad” star Bryan Cranston took home the prize for Best Actor in a Drama, while newcomer Tatiana Maslany snagged the statue for her much-lauded role as many different clones in “Orphan Black.” Supporting Actor and Actress in a Drama went to Michael Cudlitz from “Southland” and Monica Potter from “Parenthood.”

“The Big Bang Theory” dominated the comedy side, winning Best Comedy as well as Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards for Simon Helberg and Kaley Cuoco (who tied with “The Middle”‘s Eden Sher). However, perpetually overlooked critical darling “Louie” got at least some love from, well, the critics with an award for Best Actor in a Comedy for Louis C.K. Julia Louis-Dreyfus took the prize for Best Actress in a Comedy.

Best TV Movie went to Steven Soderbergh’s Liberace biopic “Behind the Candelabra,” starring Michael Douglas.
