Comic actress and former “Glee” star Jane Lynch is getting a divorce from her wife of three years, Lara Embry.

“Lara and I have decided to end our marriage,” Lynch told E! News. “This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter.”

Lynch and Embry met at a fundraiser in 2009, and married in May 2010. That same year, the actress thanked Embry as well as Embry’s daughter Haden in her Emmy acceptance speech.

Jane Lynch currently stars as tyrannical orphanage matron Miss Hannigan in ‘Annie.’

Lynch will play the part starting Wednesday, May 15 for eight weeks, through Sunday, July 14.

‘Annie’ is nominated for a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. It is playing on Broadway at the Palace Theatre.

Lynch is known for her role in the hit FOX television show “Glee,” as cruel cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester.

The rest of the cast includes Australian actor Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks and 11-year-old Lilla Crawford as Annie. Brynn O’Malley plays Grace Farrell and Clarke Thorell as Rooster Hannigan.
