The Word: Cory Monteith’s sweet final video
Sorry if it’s too early in the morning to get all choked up. But it’s too sweet not to share.
Cory Monteith recorded this brief, touching video for a young fan just days before his death. “Hi, Malorie, I’m Cory, I’m Sheila’s friend,” he says. “I just wanted to record this video for you guys to let you know to stay out of trouble and stay in school.”
If only he could have taken his own advice. The “Sheila” who asked the “Glee” star to make the video was a stewardess on Cory’s Air Canada flight to Vancouver, the city where he died. Oh, man. I’m going back to bed.
TMZ.com is reporting that Cory Monteith died from a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol.
Canadian authorities said on Monday they would perform an autopsy including toxicology tests to determine the cause of death of actor Cory Monteith, the 31-year-old heartthrob of Fox’s musical-comedy television series “Glee” who was found dead on Saturday in a Vancouver hotel room.
Although the British Columbia Coroners Service said the results will not be available for several days, it seems as though it has been expedited due to public interest.
