The Word: Is Robin Thicke grabbing this girl’s butt?

Hum de dum, nothing to see here. Just “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke taking a photo for a fan.

She’s clutching him like he’s a life preserver in shark-filled waters, but he’s just politely keeping his hands to himself — oh, wait. Wait. The mirror.

So this is either a photo of Robin Thicke grabbing the derriere of a young lady who is not his wife (and really graaabbing it — given the length of the girl’s skirt, it looks like he might be rounding third base) or a medium-clever Photoshop job. Either way, one fan apparently thought the singer’s wife, actress Paula Patton, deserved to know about it — UK twitter user @JenLeadley tweeted the photo at Patton, writing, “Look at the reflection girl.”

Aw, poor Robin Thicke has problems both professional and personal this week. The slick-as-hell singer (who will always be better known to me as Jason Seaver’s other son) is currently embroiled in a court battle with Marvin Gaye’s estate, over allegations that he jacked elements of Gaye’s song “Got to Give it Up” for the insanely catchy mega-hit that is “Blurred Lines.”

Billboard reports that Gaye’s people just nixed a six-figure settlement offer in the court case, which means Mike Seaver’s somewhat suaver brother will have to keep fighting the suit.
