The Word: Justin Bieber flies home for his dad’s surgery

Pop stardom hasn’t kept Justin Bieber from being there for his family.

Justin Bieber may have turned into a bit of a fast-driving, restaurant-peeing punk of late, but at least he loves his dad.

The 19-year-old singer flew home to Canada to support his father Jeremy Bieber when the latter had surgery. “My boy @justinbieber flew all the way home to be with me for my surgery. What an incredible boy. #love,” Bieber’s pop tweeted yesterday.

“@JeremyBieber of course. #love#family,” the Biebs responded.

Aww. My parents and I never exchange affectionate hashtags. Good for the Biebers. Now, if Justin takes his dad out for a post-surgical brunch, if he can just manage not to pee on the restaurant he might be back on the right track.

Of course, Justin’s family seems a lot more forgiving of his hijinks than mine would be.

TMZ has pictures of Justin Bieber placidly staring naked into the camera, his Justinhood shielded only by his acoustic guitar. In another pic, from the rear, he is, well, significantly less shielded.

This wouldn’t be surprising if it was something he did to impress his friends, who seem like a bunch of little creeps who like to encourage him to pee in buckets. But in fact, the nakedness went down at his grandma’s house over Thanksgiving.
