The Word: Why Mumford & Sons got kicked out of a strip club

You know the rule, guys. No banjo in the champagne room.

Have Mumford & Sons been hanging out with Justin Bieber? They seem like they should be too wholesome to even enter a strip club, let alone get kicked out of one. But that’s just what happened Tuesday night, according to TMZ.

Apparently, the band was hanging out at Atlanta’s Clermont Lounge, where it was karaoke night. Band member Ben Lovett got up to do some songs and his bandmates tried to film him with their phones, which is apparently another thing you can’t do in the champagne room or any room at a strip club.

The DJ dropped the music several times to try to make them stop, resulting in a verbal fracas between the band and the club’s staff. In the end, they were asked to leave, which is probably the most badass thing that has ever happened to a group of guys who play mandolins for a living.
