The Word: Who is Justin Bieber’s song ‘Heartbreaker’ about?

Who hurt Justin Bieber badly enough that he wrote a song about her? Credit: Getty Images

Justin Bieber has a new song out. “Heartbreaker” is a sobby ballad about loving and losing, and Justin says it’s straight from his own bruised heart.

“It’s a song for people going through a heartbreak — like I was when I wrote it,” Justin tweeted today. “It means so much to be able to share what I was, and still am going through, with my fans. I’m very proud of this song and I hope it gives my fans some insight into my heart.”

So who is the titular heartbreaker who’s left poor JB so wounded that he can’t even walk up a flight of stairs on his own? The most likely suspect is Selena Gomez, with whom Bieber has had an on-again, off-again relationship for some time.

But she’s hardly the only woman in his life — he’s been spotted with any number of mystery ladies.

Have a listen to “Heartbreaker” for yourself below.

On Monday, photos surfaced on the Interwebz of the Biebs being carried up the Great Wall of China on the shoulders of two adult men (bodyguards, I’m guessing?) What, they couldn’t find a douchebag-sized papoose?
