The Word: Heidi Klum’s Halloween costume was incredible as usual

I honestly don’t get why all celebrities don’t do Halloween as thoroughly as Heidi Klum does. They’re rich. They have access to the top costume and makeup people in the world. They could blow us plebes with our sad little homemade costumes right out of the water.

But at least Heidi Klum always treats Halloween with the reverence it deserves. Every year at her star-studded Halloween bash, she busts out an incredible costume that probably costs as much as your house. In the past she’s been a Hindu goddess, Cleopatra and even an ape — she’s got no qualms about rendering her famed beauty unrecognizable. This year was no exception: She went as a little old lady, which sounds boring, but the attention to detail was pretty remarkable; she even had individual varicose veins painted on her legs. She could be your great-aunt or something.

One former guest of honor who probably wasn’t invited this year: Heidi’s ex-husband, Seal. Recent photos of the model seem to show that she is in the process of removing a tattoo on her forearm that she got in 2008 to commemorate their fourth anniversary, according to Splash News. ”It was our fourth wedding, and we wanted to have our names tattooed together,” Klum said of her body art at the time. “So it’s my husband’s name and our three children – their initials, in the [three] stars.”
