Woody Allen gets heckled on Broadway
What’s it like to go out in public while Woody Allen?
The acclaimed director is embroiled in a very public rehashing of the child abuse allegations he faced in the early ’90s, when his ex-partner Mia Farrow accused him of molesting their 7-year-old daughter, Dylan Farrow. Though Allen was never charged with a crime, his now-adult daughter Dylan maintains that he abused her.
Allen denies the claims, but some members of the public aren’t scared to let him know they think he’s full of it.
Allen attended Sunday’s performance of “After Midnight” on Broadway with his wife Soon-Yi and their two daughters, Bechet and Manzie. According to Page Six, the family headed for the exit the second the lights came up — but not before one 60-something woman in the audience spotted them and yelled, “I think he did it!” Apparently, Woody himself ignored it, but Soon-Yi shot the woman a dirty look.
Guys. Don’t heckle Woody Allen. At least not in front of his kids. Whatever the truth of the matter is, enough childhoods have already been ruined by this whole mess, don’t you think?
