Rock to the Future

Rock to the Future- Fun show filled with a number of covers and originals

This year at Rock to the Future we have been working hard all year to prepare a fun show filled with a number of covers and originals. Seven student bands will perform an array of covers from Blink 182, The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men and many others. Each student band will play two covers and two original songs composed by the band members. We will have performances by ShadoWolves, Halfway There, TillDeathDoUsPart, The Honey Badgers, The Undeciders, Black Sun and Zalis.
Rock to the Future is a free after school music program that provides free music lessons to lower income Philadelphia youth (ages 9-17). The program aims to prove that music education can improve a students academic performance as well as social skills. Throughout the 2 and half years Rock to the Future has opened its doors it has proven this fact. Students are increasing their grades and learning how to ROCK OUT! Student bands have opened up games for the Philadelphia 76ers, headlined a number of community events and have even played sold out shows at Union Transfer. Here is your chance to see all of the amazing student bands. Come out on Sunday, June 9th as the student bands take the stage at World Cafe Live!
