The Massachusetts Department of Correction is looking for an inmate who walked away from a work assignment one day before his scheduled release.

Barthesday Deberry, who was being housed at the Boston Pre-Release Center, disappeared on Tuesday morning from a work program one day before he was scheduled to be released, the Department of Correction reported.

Deberry was serving five years for a firearm-related felony, the Department of Correction added, also describing him as 5-foot-6 and approximately 175 pounds with a last known address in New York City.
