We'll take our tasting poolside, thank you

Intimate poolside dining comes to the Colonnade.

Back Bay’s Colonnade Hotel has been hosting a series of noteworthy chefs on their roof for a little poolside cookout, and they want you to come along. Each Tuesday through Sept. 13th, the chefs will serve up exclusive tasting menus for $20 a pop to benefit Share Our Strength No Kid Hungry — an area non-profit that puts nutritious meals in impoverished youths’ bellies.

The summer’s remaining chef line-up includes Chris Coombs (Boston Chops, Deuxave, dbar) on August 2,Ben Hasty (South Berwick, ME’s Thistle Pig) on August 23 and Tiffani Faison (Tiger Mama, Sweet Cheeks) on August 30. Earlier participants like Superfine Food’s Chef Matt Gaudet (formerly of West Bridge) served up the likes of whiskey-glazed St. Louis-style ribs with grilled veggies toped with salsa verde and chickpea crumble, so you can expect this to be a meal worth writing home about.
