Black spot in your mattress? Don’t assume it’s a bed bug.
New York City’s bed bug epidemic has spread to yet another landmark in
the city that never sleeps — the United Nations, officials at the world
organization said yesterday.
Along with the bed-bug epidemic comes a new breed of bloodsucking pests:
exterminator firms that promise to get rid of the nasty creatures but
instead rip New Yorkers off.
Lincoln Center’s dressing rooms have bed bugs, according to a report in
the NY Observer.
Bed bugs like Philadelphia, which ranked second recently among big
cities for most cases of the biting, itchy pests, and now they’ve found
their way to a college dormitory.
Pest control experts and exterminators gathered in Rosemont, Ill., yesterday for the two-day Bed Bug University North American Summit 2010, which highlighted products and methods for addressing the bed bug problem that is plaguing U.S. cities.
