The Blue Demons can’t end their season soon enough. They found their rhythm from behind the arc in the first 10 minutes, trailing just 15-14 at the midway mark of the half. Then the wheels, floorboards and doors fell off. UConn has gotten pretty much anything its wanted down the lane, as Jeremy Lamb has already tallied 17 points. That’s a big win for the Huskies, who need to rest Kemba Walker if they hope to have enough left in the tank to challenge No. 1 Pittsburgh on Thursday.
Lamb is a guy who can shred defenses, but like most freshmen in this conference he hit a wall midway through brutal conference play. Today will be his second game in double figures since Feb. 10. He started Big East play with eight straight double figure efforts.
