Cannons can’t overthink this year’s MLL playoffs

Paul Rabil

The Boston Cannons have been here before.

Just last year, they went into the MLL’s “Championship Weekend” playoffs  with the No. 1 overall seed. Almost all observers expected them to finally bring home the first title in franchise history.

That is until the Chesapeake Bayhawks sent them packing in the semis.

Star Paul Rabil knows all about that. And he knows how to keep it from happening in the 2011
playoffs, next weekend.

“It’s about not overthinking anything we’ve done successfully so far this year,” Rabil said on a conference call yesterday. “Last year, we overthought ourselves a bit. We tried to add different tactics, with it being such an important [game]. In reality, we were the best team all regular season, and we got away from some of the things we did best.”
