French design Isabel Marant is already synonymous with effortless cool, but her vacation home — a remote cabin 35 miles outside Paris where she spends weekends with her husband, accessory designer Jerome Dreyfuss, and their 8-year-old son, Tal  — has us bowing down. While at their charming retreat, the the hip couple has a “no fashion talk” policy and instead spend their downtime cooking, catching up with loved ones and enjoying nature (Tal plays in his tree house, swims in the river and swings from trees, wheeeeee!) And forget a TV; the place doesn’t even have running water let alone electricity or heat (they flush the toilet with buckets from a spring). Functioning bathroom or not, the home is outfitted with the coolest vintage military sink, a gift Dreyfuss gave Marant for her birthday. Read the full story about the lovely couple and their nook of paradise at The New York Times T Magazine.
