A clearer NFL picture in Week 4

Tavares Gooden and the 49ers may have put Rex Ryan on the hot seat with their 33-0 win Sunday.

Fans, players and coaches across the country rejoiced when they learned the referees had reached a deal with the league and would be back this weekend. The results were games with more of a rhythm and more consistency making the entire Sunday slate much more enjoyable to watch.

San Francisco 49ers 33
New York Jets 0

The 49ers steamrolled the Jets on the road Sunday afternoon, due in large part to 24 second half points. The 49ers defense forced four Jets turnovers and held the Jets to just 145 yards of total offense. There were some chants for Tim Tebow as Mark Sanchez struggled throwing with just 103 yards passing and an INT.
Minnesota Vikings 20
Detroit Lions 13

In a bit of an upset the Vikings defeated the Lions in Detroit on the back of their special teams play. Percy Harvin started the game off with a 105-yard kickoff return and Marcus Sherels had a 77-yard punt return midway through the third quarter to lead the Vikings.
Houston Texans 38
Tennessee Titans 14

The Texans continue to show why they were picked by many to win the AFC as they are now 4-0 following Sunday’s 24-point win over the Titans. The Texans returned two interceptions for touchdowns, while quarterback Matt Schaub threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
Atlanta Falcons 30
Carolina Panthers 28

In one of the more exciting games on Sunday, the Falcons improved to 4-0 on the leg of kicker Matt Bryant as his 40-yarder with five seconds left gave the Falcons a come-from-behind win.
San Diego Chargers 37
Kansas City Chiefs 20

The Chargers certainly rebounded after a brutal home loss last week with a convincing win on the road at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chargers led 20-0 midway through the second quarter. The Chiefs are now 1-3 and the Chargers are 3-1.
St. Louis Rams 19
Seattle Seahawks 13

The Rams scored 16 unanswered points and then held on to defeat the Seahawks at home. Marshawn Lynch ran for 118 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
