Playing the Field: Brent Musburger is at it again, calls Holly Rowe ‘Smokin”

Katherine Webb is here to stay, America. What a monster that Brent Musburger is, huh?
Isaac Brekken

Typically around the age you are allowed to drink in this country, you will hear people say, “oh man, we’re getting so old.”

In saying this, I believe every disillusioned 21-35 year-old should be smacked. Hard.

Be honest. You’re NOT old. Old is 70. Old is 80. Old is 90. Old is having been born in the 1800s (we’re running out of those fine folks quickly – we just lost Koto Okubo this past weekend, she of 115 years).

No one wants to be old because, frankly, there’s not much to look forward to at the end. Except this: you can do and say ANYTHING you want. That, my friends, is the type of freedom you work a lifetime for.

ESPN broadcaster Brent Musburger is currently abusing those old man powers and it’s a beautiful thing to watch. The 73-year-old Musburger got in trouble with the four-letter network just last week for the comments he made about Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend, Katherine Webb, during college football’s National Championship game.

Exactly one week later, Brent had the gall to DO IT AGAIN!!!

Right at the end of a college hoops game between Baylor and Kansas, Musburger said that ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe “was really SMOKIN’ TONIGHT!”

Take a listen:

Of course ESPN is already in protect mode as they claim that Musburger said “IT was really smokin’ tonight,” in reference to the actual game … PLEASE.

We all realize this is simply Brent waving a big middle finger to the network and we all applaud him for it. And if he’s fired? Oh well. He’s made his money.

See, that’s the perk to being old. Being able to simply say, “F-it” whenever you want.
