The Word: Maria Shriver lawyers up

Wasser better be careful — with her looks, Arnold will probably try to grope her in the courtroom.

Good for her — Maria Shriver has hired high-profile celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, reports People. Wasser knows her stuff — she’s handled divorces for Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, Kiefer Sutherland, Robyn Gibson aka the ex-wife of Mel Gibson, Christina Aguilera and Stevie Wonder.

I’m no lawyer (if I was, would I be writing this drivel?), but it seems to me when you have a secret kid with the housekeeper while you’re married to someone else, the judge will probably side with your wife in the divorce proceedings. And I hope Maria gets everything! Everything! The cash (he’s worth between $100–$200 million), the properties, the kids, the Terminator suit, the Planet Hollywoods, the hair plugs, the steroids, the Oscar … wait. Nevermind. There’s no Oscar. Arnold winning an Academy Award? Now that would be shocking.

Bensimon finally makes sense

Well, here’s something out of Kelly Bensimon’s mouth that I can identify with: She doesn’t want to vacation with fellow Real Housewife Ramona Singer. On Thursday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” Bensimon  told co-stars LuAnn de Lesseps, Jill Zarin and Cindy Barshop that she won’t be joining them on a Moroccan getaway. “I cannot go on a trip with Ramona,” she explains. “It’s hard for me to be in a room with her.” Bensimon’s breakdown in St. John last season was the stuff of reality TV legend, so I get it. But poor Ramona. How annoying must you be to be singled out of that group as the one who makes the trip unbearable?
