Teresa Giudice’s shady, yet ‘fairytale,’ vow renewal

In Touch, on stands now.

You know what’s a great idea to do after you file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy because you’re 11 million dollars in debt? If you’ve guessed: Work hard to pay off what you owe and then focus on getting a firm financial foothold in the world, you’d be wrong. Because if you’re “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, who just had that same pesky bankruptcy problem, you’d  buy a $25,000 Pnina Tornai gown in order to have a wedding with your husband — with whom you’ve already had a wedding ceremony. Self-restraint, thy name is Giudice.

The new issue of “In Touch” has all the details of what they call the recent “over-the-top, fairy-tale-themed” vow renewal ceremony. “I was just so happy… marriage means for better or for worse. We’ve been through a lot, and if anything, it’s just made us stronger,” says Teresa of her second wedding at Long Island’s Oheka Castle.  “I wanted to show my girls that marriage is really important, as is being faithful to one another.” (You know what else is important? Not living beyond your means but that’s neither here nor there.)

There’s speculation that Bravo footed the bill for the lavish ceremony, which included an appearance by Kevin Jonas. In fact, the channel has sped up filming Season 4 before the Giudices have their bankruptcy fraud trial, scheduled to take place in October. If that weren’t enough, Joe is also facing legal problems due to impersonating his brother in order to obtain a driver’s license after his was suspended following his much publicized DUI last year.

I hope their vows said: “For richer, for poorer, or for the kind of rich you can only get when you live off of credit cards.”
