The Word: Adam Levine’s got moves like Jagger

Adam Levine “doesn’t want to screw up” his relationship with Russian model girlfriend Anne V.

In an interview on “The Howard Stern Show” on Tuesday, “The Voice” coach Adam Levine proved himself to be smart about some topics and not so bright on others.

Stern tried to get Levine to gossip about fellow mentor/judge Christina Aguilera’s recent weight gain — “Why do you think she’s gotten so heavy? Is she upset?” Stern prodded. “She used to be so f—ing hot … And her clothes are too tight, right?” the shock jock continued. “When you’re a plus-size woman, you can’t wear the tight clothes anymore.”

Levine responded diplomatically, stating: “I’m keeping my f—ing mouth shut.”

Smart of him, right? But then when the topic veered to birth control and what method Levine uses with his Russian model girlfriend, Anne V., the singer actually told the truth. “This is the longest, most functional relationship I’ve ever been in, I don’t want to screw it up,” he said. “[I use] a fool-proof birth-control system, [the pull-out method].”

Gross. Isn’t there a law on the books that says all men in rock ’n’ roll bands have to use condoms? It’s a severe public health problem if not.

Update on Houston’s drug intake

A new report looks to confirm that Whitney Houston’s death earlier this month was caused by a mixture of alcohol and prescription drugs, according to Radar Online. “Whitney had taken Valium, Xanax and alcohol, which led to her death. The coroner is waiting on final toxicology results to determine which one of the three was the major contributing factor of her demise,” a source says. “The sedatives and alcohol will almost certainly be the cause of death, and not drowning. Her heart stopped beating because her respiratory system was suppressed because of the anti-anxiety meds, and combined with the booze it probably happened very quickly before she was found partially submerged in the bathtub.”
