PHOTOS: The sexiest food porn from Taste of Tribeca

These esquitas tostadas from Super Linda were worth the wait!

Tribeca’s evolving community of eclectic and diverse restaurants came together Saturday to give the city a special, once-a-year taste of their most delicious, most innovative dishes at Taste of Tribeca.

Twas’ a foodie paradise as the neighborhood’s culinary masters served up plates so delicious, we’re still drooling just thinking about them. Fingers were licked, lips were smacked and noses found delight as Duane Street was transformed into a lined path of tents, each offering its own gourmet surprise, as a cloud of aromatic cooking smoke hovered above.

While the treats are long gone, having been gobbled up by eager food-loving New Yorkers who traveled from near and far for Taste of Tribeca, the photos remain as savory reminders of what the neighborhood has to offer.

About 75 Tribeca eateries participated in the event. Here are Metro’s best food porn photos from Taste of Tribeca. Happy (and hungry) viewing!

One of our firsts, which ended up being a favorite, these braised short ribs with horseradish cream sauce from The Palm Tribeca was a great way to kick off a day of gourmet bite-sized food. (Photo: Cassandra Garrison)

A perfectly refreshing dish on a hot summer’s day, this grilled shrimp and couscous salad with tomatoes, scallion and mint, offered an exclusive preview of The Harrison’s inspiring menu. (Photo: Jaclyn Boschetti)

Rumored to be one of the best offerings at Taste of Tribeca, these pulled pork sliders from Maxwell’s lived up to the hype! (Photo: JB)

This Greek meatball with homemade tzatziki sauce on grilled pita was a pleasant surprise considering the chefs behind it are better known for their life-saving skills than their cooking skills:  FDNY Ladder 8. Opa! (Photo: CG)

As soon as we spotted the long line of people waiting for a taste of this Puerto Rican paella from Sazon, we knew we had to try it. And we were not disappointed! Sometimes it’s good to go with the crowd. (Photo: CG)

The only thing we love more than a juicy authentic taco is a sexy picture of one! These carnitas and steak tacos (in much appreciated generous portions) from MaryAnn’s made the perfect food porn models. They tasted (and looked) so good, that we just had to include a few different shots of them. That’s hot! (Photos: CG)

When we saw Mark Forgione’s name on the list, we knew whatever he was serving would be well worth a try — and boy, were we right! This blue moon fluke with ramp pesto and lemon vinegar delighted our senses with every bite and has officially become our new favorite salad. (Photo: CG)

We can’t resist a good duck meatball and that’s exactly what we found from Locanda Verde. This one served with cherry mostarda was the perfect combination of savory and sweet. (Photo: CG)

We’re glad we kept our date to try this bacon wrapped date from Ward III. Accompanied by a skewer of fresh cantaloupe, we couldn’t ask for a better combination. Sticky, sweet, and summer time. (Photo: CG)

These esquitas tostadas from Super Linda were so popular that they ran out and had to call for more from their location up the street. We waited, confident that our patience would pay off, and it was all worth it with the first bite of this crunchy, zesty Mexican work of food art. (Photo: JB)

We saw other food lovers greedily devouring these teriyaki burgers made with Wagyu beef from Greenwich Grill and we knew we had to try it for ourselves! It’s safe to say we have plans to go back to Greenwich Grill for the full-sized version. (Photo: JB)

We were glad we saved room for dessert because this s’more cupcake from Tribeca Treats was the perfect sweet ending to Taste of Tribeca. (Photo: CG)
