Peter Som makes Anthropologie even prettier
Brands like Target and H&M roll out a new designer collaboration each season, and we’re pretty numb to them these days. But Anthropologie’s latest high/low dalliance has our inner bargain-hunter’s heartbeat racing.
On Thursday, the ladylike brand will debut a limited-edition collection with New York-based designer Peter Som — known for his elegant and print-happy womenswear — as part of its Made in Kind initiative. The union makes perfect sense, since both brands exude a bohemian-yet-refined aesthetic.
“We share a similar love of color, pattern and embellishment,” says Som of the partnership. “I’ve been able to play with many of my signature prints and silhouettes in a new and fun way.”
This translates to bold florals on flirty dresses and whimsical zebra heads on breezy frocks. The 11-piece line, which channels eclectic icons such as Peggy Guggenheim and Diana Vreeland, ranges in price from $128 to $368.
