What your old Apple products can get you on eBay

This week marks Apple’s 30 birthday, and while that might not sound old, tech products age fast. If you still have that first generation iPod or 2002 desktop eMac and are wondering what you can get for it now, you might be pleasantly surprised. Here’s what a few are selling for:

Apple iPod Classic 1st Generation

Original ipod
Original: $399. Now: $750

Still hanging on to your earls 2000s iPod? You can get about $80 for it now. If it’s still in the box and never used like the one pictured here, you can score about $750. That’s a pretty sweet deal for something that originally retailed for $399.

Apple eMac desktop computer

eMac
The eMac was released in 2002.

As long as your desktop still works, you can get around $100. The one pictured here is currently up for bid for $100, which is on par with several similar items. If your computer isn’t working anymore, it’s going to be a tough sell. EBay lists some for as little as $5.00.

iMac G5 desktop

imac
This iMac is currently up for bid at $100.

It’s been out since 2004, and 10 years later, a lot of people are trying to sell ‘em. Hopeful sellers are listing their iMac G5s for over $200, while others are aiming low at $25. On average, iMac G5s are selling for about $100, like this one here. If it’s not in working condition, it’s worth almost nothing.

Macintosh XL

Macintosh XL
Apple products from the ’80s are in high demand.

If you’ve held on to anything from the ’80s, you’re in luck. These are the most in demand items of all. This Macintosh XL, which came out in 1985, is selling for roughly $2,500.
