A car and school bus were involved in a head-on crash Wednesday afternoon in Sudbury, police there said.
Tweets from the town’s police department indicated the crash happened just after 4 p.m. on Concord Road near Plympton Road. The road there was closed as police investigated.

Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School Superintendent Principal Bella Wong told NECN that the bus was carrying a girls’ rugby team to Lincoln Sudbury from Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough for an athletic event.

The driver of the car, the bus driver and ten students were transported to area hospitals.
The driver of the car was reportedly in serious condition, though the conditions of the students were not immediately available.
