A Florida man thought it would be funny to kick Red Sox Nation while it's down.

After last season's abysmal ending and the controversy that erupted during the off season over players' club house antics, the last thing Sox fans need is a joker trying to put them down.

But Eric Engelman, who resides in Fort Myers where the Sox have spent decades in the spring, doesn't care because he's a Chicago Cubs fan.

In an interview with news-press.com, Engelman said that he bought the domain jetbluepark.com when he first heard the airline was partnering with the team's new facility for the naming rights. He paid $8.

Sox fans excited about the new ballpark will likely be disappointed when they visit the website and it immediately directs them to the New York Yankees home page.

According to the news-press.com report, Sox officials were unaware of the omission and said they may reach out to Engelman to make a deal.
