A lottery winner claiming his prize bought another ticket in the lobby of the lottery headquarters and won again.
Chi Chan of Medford arrived at the Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Braintree on Wednesday to cash his winning $1,000 scratch-off ticket, CBS Boston reported. While there, he bought a $30 ticket from a vending machine in the building. When he scratched his new ticket, he saw that he had won $1 million, CBS Boston added. He returned to the Braintree headquarters to collect his new winnings.

Officials said Chan chose a one-time $650,000 cash payment to receive the money from his second winning ticket, according to WCVB.
