A Wellesley, Massachusetts man pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges he stole nearly $600,000 from a shareholder account for which he was responsible.

Paul Pyzowski, 50, was sentenced Friday to ten years of probation and ordered to pay restitution to his victims, the Associated Press reported.

Pyzowski pleaded guilty to three charges, including fiduciary embezzlement, larceny over $250 by embezzlement and money laundering.

Prosecutors said Pyzowski was trusted with the finances of Boston Microsystems stockholders when the company merged with Pall Corporation in February, 2013.

Pall Corporation sent $600,000 into a shareholder bank account under Pyzowski’s authority, which was never properly distributed.

The former financial officer also made 20 unauthorized wire transfers from the account into his personal and business accounts, according to the report.
