Mayor Walsh briefly hospitalized with kidney stone

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh made a trip to a Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday to address a kidney stone, a mayor’s office spokesperson said.

Sunday night, his office did said the mayor was on his way home and “is completely fine.”

The mayor attended an AFL-CIO event with gubernatorial candidate Martha Coakley on Saturday, and the minor health issue is not expected to change his schedule today.

Walsh is expected to attend a real estate convention in the Back Bay in the morning, a groundbreaking ceremony for 503 new residences at Avalon North Station in the afternoon and his third “Mondays with Mayor” town hall meeting in Hyde Park in the evening.
