Transit police said the driver of a car caught on video fleeing the scene of a collision with an MBTA commuter train in Revere Wednesday has surrendered to authorities.
The man and his passenger were uninjured when the double-decker train collided with their sedan just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday after it drove around the flashing security gate and attempted to cross the tracks, police said.

Police told WBZ they have identified the driver, but are not releasing his identity pending an invesitgation. The man was reportedly involved in an earlier crash and fled that scene before driving onto the tracks. Charges are expected. WCVB identified the driver as a 25-year-old man from Lynn.
None of the 200 passengers aboard the Rockport Line train were injured. They were transferred to another train at Wonderland station to continue their commute.
