A two alarm fire burned through a building on McLean Hospital’s campus in Belmont early Monday morning, according to reports.

The building was vacant at the time as its currently not being used, according to a statement from McLean.

“Since it was a closed building located in a remote area of the McLean campus, no evacuations were needed and no patient care services were disrupted,” the statement read. “At this time, the cause of the fire is unclear, but we will work closely with the Belmont Fire Department during their investigation.”

The Codman Building was damaged in the fire, but officials said the blaze did not spread to any other area of McLean.

Belmont Police posted a video to Twitter of the fire around 4 a.m. Monday.

The Cambridge Fire Department also responded to the scene.
