Minute Man Sportsman club will serve as the venue for Olympic and Paralympic shooting if Boston hosts the 2024 Olympic games, officials announced Monday.
“For athletes and spectators, we’re confident that Minute Man will offer an extraordinary experience,” said Boston 2024 partnership CEO, Richard Davey.
The Minute Man Sportsman club is located in Billerica and Burlington, MA on approximately 100 acres of land. The 350+ member club offers some of the most prestigious skeet and trap shooting events in New England. “The Games will provide the club with new and upgraded facilities that will make it one of the premier facilities in the entire country, ensuring its success for another century”. Said Davey
Moving forward with collaboration from other community groups, key stakeholders, and elected officials the next phase of development will include the venue plan and the guidelines that follow. These plans follow a strict set of guidelines, including technical requirements that are outlined by each sports National Governing Body and International Federation.
USA shooting’s Executive Director and CEO Robert Mitchell commended the clubs undertaking and commitment to hosting the games. “Over recent years the Club has built one of the stronger shooting programs in the nation,” said Mitchell. “The ability to host an Olympic and Paralympic competition is no small undertaking, but Minute Man has made the commitment to whole-heartedly embrace this exciting opportunity.

Additional venue hosts will be announced of the next several weeks by Boston 2024.
